KGGA launched the Child Online Protection Campaign spearheaded by Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) in Mombasa on 4 August, 2015. This took place at the Annual Kenya Primary School Heads Association (KEPSHA) meeting at Sheikh Zayed Centre in Mombasa. The campaign dubbed ‘Be the Cop’ which has been endorsed by the Association, seeks to raise awareness of the types of crime that children are exposed to in cyberspace through highlighting the role that parents, guardians and teachers need to play to protect children in cyberspace. The campaign also seeks to provide avenues of redress should one encounter this type of crime. KGGA will actively participate in this campaign for the next 3 months, particularly through awareness creation with students in schools.
