Friends of Guiding

 

Friends of Guiding are a group of individuals male or female who support the Girl Guiding aims and objectives through raising funds to support the activities of the Association.  They include but are not limited to parents, relatives, and friends of members, or Girlguiding members themselves.

Friends Guiding are not compelled to wear a Guide uniform. They may wear the Guiding Scarf or a Friend of Guiding badge but this does not confer membership of Girlguiding. All supporters are encouraged to be members of Girlguiding.

The Aims and Objectives of Friends of Guiding are:

• Raise money to fund Girl Guiding projects and activities.
• Spread the good news about Girl Guiding.
• Work with the Association to enhance its the facilities.
• Organize and hold at least 1 national social fundraising event during the year.
• Establishing contact with other organizations.
• Provide mentorship to the girls and young women.

Friends of Guiding Membership Categories:

Membership to friends of Guiding are in different categories depending on the level of contribution and are:

1. Ordinary Member  – Kshs 50,000/- and below
2. Bronze Member    – Kshs 50,000/- to 99,999/-
3. Silver Member             – Kshs 100,000/- to 299,999/-
4. Gold Member                – Kshs 300,000/- to 499,999/-
5. Platinum Member    – Kshs. 500,000/- to 999,999/-
6. Platinum Plus Member – Kshs. 1 Million and above
