Girls and young women 18-30years in the stages of discovering life by making career decisions and life choices.
HOW
- Attended not less than 4 weekly company meetings, and not more than 12 weekly meetings. Attend one meeting each from 2 of the 3 age levels – Brownie and Ranger Guide.
- Know the National Anthem.
- Know and show an understanding of the Three Fold Promise, the Guide Law, the Motto and the Good Turn. Be able to salute correctly and know the left Handshake.
- Know something of the origin of the Guide Movement and the meaning of the Guide World Badges. Know the names of the Founder and the World Chief Guide and the date and meaning of Thinking Day. Know something of the History of the Kenya Girl Guide Association.
- Know the whistle and hand signals.
- Know the words of “Taps”.
- Know the composition of the Kenya Flag and the Guide World Flag; know the meaning of the flags and the right way to fly them.
- Know how to whip the end of the rope, tie a reef knot, double overhand, round turn and two half hitches, sheetbend and clove hitch and know their practical uses.
- Know the tracking signs and have laid for her Patrol to follow and have followed a short trail using these signs.
- Undertake an act of service within her own neighbourhood of at least 4 hours.
- Demonstrate basic drill to include fall in, dismiss, marching basic turns, flag carrying, the formation of a horseshoe and a ‘V’.
