Brief info

Argie is a young leader, national chair of Young Leaders of Kenya Girl Guides Association. She represents the young leaders aged between 18 to 30 years on the Association’s Executive Committee. She is passionate about mentorship of girls and young women and has a deep conviction in gender equality. Argie believes that girls and young women should be nurtured, protected, and invested in for their full potential to be realized. She is a Juliette Low Seminar (JLS) fellow and a Youth Exchange South to South (YESS) 2020 participant where she has honed her leadership and advocacy skills.

Argie is 26 years old, a lecturer in Food Science and Technology at one of Kenya’s renowned National Polytechnics, called Kabete, where she imparts knowledge and technical skills to the students and is involved in research work around sustainable, safe food systems.
She is an ardent supporter, facilitating more girls and women in STEM. Women play a significant role in fighting hunger, increasing food, nutritional security and strengthening sustainable agriculture.
Argie holds a Bachelors Degree in Food Science and Technology and is pursuing her masters degree in Food Safety and Quality Assurance.
